Reading these posts on this thread, I had to register. I checked the Art Verdi site. The man absolutly shocked me with his technical expertise. How can you people nit pick and bicker about this cat with all this foolishness about his nails and laundry? These guys like Travis Barker and Art Verdi have something that most of you guys should learn. That Ann reminds me of my mother-in-law. The cat that mentioned this guy's 10 second record of playing 220 strokes really got me goin. I think there is a minimal amount of drummers, that ever lived, that can play singles that fast and hold it for 10 seconds. It seems impossible to do like Nick said.(space ship) Steve Holmes is a very underestimated drummer. What I see in his videos are really impressive. I think he should be known more than he is. Wonderful job Steve.

Us drummers do not need an image to realize excellence. It just that some people do not understand what art is---not Art V.----but art in genera;--like science. These people are not musicians, they are the general population. They rely on images, not their ears.
And Steve is a great drummer, he is excellent at manipulating time in a creative way, and has nice chops, and a nice website!

And Steve is a great drummer, he is excellent at manipulating time in a creative way, and has nice chops, and a nice website!

My sweet wonderful loving darling dear bopper, I'm very sure your mother in law is a sweet wonderful charming kind lady, if I remind you of her(laughing dreadfully out loud) I am simply stating that Mr.Barker and Mr.Verdi and that child who should be spanked, Ian Ruben, can be more considerate to the public. Mr.Donati can use a nail grooming also. I saw him lately. His drums can use a cleaning as well. I wanted to tell him to use a cloth on them to remove the aboundence of dust on them. His hair can be groomed also. These percussive players are not neat and groomed properly and I think they should be told. A Mr.Spencer is claiming to play as rapidly as Mr.Rabb and Mr.Verdi and I told him, on the Evans forum, that these charming gentleman are recorded young men and he's not. Mr.Holmes is a lovely young gentleman but he should remove his bangs. In other words comb his hair a little better. Mr.Holmes does present very educational percussive videos and we all love him very very dearly for it. I'm sure all our house of drumming people love him very much. Keep up the wonderful darling percussive material, my sweet charming darling young gentleman Mr.Holmes.
